Sylvia Niele is a registered psychologist with a Masters degree in clinical psychology. She has been working in private practice and public mental health with clients ranging in age from 4 to 95 years.
Sylvia takes a collaborative, humanistic approach drawing on CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), imaginal exposure, mindfulness, attachment theory, existential and interpersonal psychotherapy, DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy), positive psychology, and in particular,
Sylvia aims to facilitate and promote personal well-being and independence.
Jo Fleischer has trained in and utilises an eclectic mix of person-centred counselling therapies and mainly sees adults (individuals and couples) and older adolescents. She uses CBT, clinical hypnosis, mind-body counselling, EMDR (used for trauma treatment), EFT and nutritional support for mental health. She has also trained in onco-psychology and is part of a joint Cabrini/Monash research project working with cancer patients. She has previously been part of a Monash research project working with clients dealing with problem gambling.
Jo has a strong interest in natural and complementary medicine whilst remaining grounded and has lectured at the Australian College of Natural Medicine / Endeavour College of Natural Health and Southern School of Natural Therapies, as well as at RMIT and Monash Universities. She was an Internationally Certified Teacher for the Australian Bush Flower Essences and lectured and trained people in their practical application for several years. Jo also undertakes corporate consulting work and has a background in human resources within the public and private sectors.
Jo has a particular interest in helping people with depression, anxiety conditions including panic attacks and phobias, dealing with stress, recovering from bullying, relationship issues, sleep problems, stress and weight loss. She is the Chair of the Australian Society of Hypnosis (Victorian Branch) which is one of 3 voluntary elected positions she holds.
